Project: Order Scheduling System (OSS)

Implementation of T-One BI - A project to standardize the ERP processes, methods and analysis across all the countries and regions. My major role was solution architect and we used Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Cognos Framework with Cognos Report Studio to successfully deliver the project. This project will be rolled out to all related countries within Lafarge. Working as Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) for Asia Pacific region (Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and Bangladesh) and involved on preparing 3 year information system plan for these countries. Working closely with Country IT managers / Business Stakeholders to oversee any new demands and ensure proper planning CAPEX approval is secured for those projects.

Project: International Key Account Management (IKAM) CRM solution

The tool provides all the capability to keep track of communications with various parties, contacts, project organization and follow-up details, prospect customer / projects. It also gives a clear visibility to the management on the performance analysis of Lafarge IKAM team members and frequency / type of communication. The project went live with a high appreciation from Project Sponsors and users.

Project: BI Dashboard Design in ASIA

This dashboard project allowed any Excom members (management) to drill down to transaction level from a single page overall view. The project was delivered successfully on time and made a key impact on financial savings. The project also got praised internally.

Project: Sales & Marketing DWH solution "BONSAI"

This is a Sales & marketing DW project which collects data from various systems like Sales, Costing, Finance, Credit Control and other sources and present various types of Analytical report also known as customer segmentation and margin analysis. Delivered successfully on time and is getting used for sales margin analysis. Due to the success of this project it was deployed to 5 other countries (Malaysia, Philippines, India, Korea, and Vietnam)

Other Projects/Responsibilities/Achievements:

  • Attended training on Capex Management in Lafarge and coordinated the rollout of Lafarge CAPEX Management solution across ASIA. During rollout in each country, my role was to work closely with business stakeholders to prepare the project charter, layout project plan, finalize the workflow for local approval cycle, design and implement the solution, document processes, conduct training and finally sign-off.
  • Working with Lafarge Corporate team on “Domino Exit” project. During the project phase, I have worked with Asian countries to gather details of various Lotus Notes and domino projects including the impact of the solution to business. We invited RFP from various companies and analyzed their solution with cost impacts. We recommended RunMyProcess ( http://www.runmyprocess.com/ ) for replacing Domino based workflow solution at the end.
  • Working with the Lafarge corporate team for feasibility analysis of using Google Drive as document sharing platformf or the company standard. This should bring more flexibility for managing and sharing document across Lafarge with a significant amount of savings from license.
  • Regularly participate on BI workshop as a key technical expert for BI Strategy. As part of continuous improvement, these workshops are conducted to analyze our existing BI solution performance and new Solution/Tool to be considered for future rollout.
  • Worked closely with Regional Safety director and his team to design and implement a 360 Degree Safety Leadership feedback analysis tool. Lotus Notes and Lotus script (integrated e-mail) with embedded form were used for the survey tool. The solution was effectively used by the region for all countries in Asia.
  • Supporting ASIA Region as Technical expert on Lotus Domino based solutions. My experience on both Lotus Notes application design and administration was quite helpful for the infrastructure team.
  • Designed Lotus Notes based Help desk solution for Regional Shared Service (RSS) center to cover Incident management, Change Management, release management, and document management specially for Audit purpose.
  • Quality Information Management System (QIMS) dashboard to display cement production quality in real time. Played major role from project initiation to successful deployment (requirement analysis, solution design, business process documentation, deployment). Currently this 24 cement plants are running this solution in Asia region. Cognos Data Manager and Cognos Report Studio were used along with Oracle DB backend.
  • Designed and Implemented OTIFIC (On Time In Full Invoice Correctly) analysis. Played major role from project initiation to successful deployment (requirement analysis, solution design, business process documentation, deployment). Currently Malaysia and Philippines are running this solution. Bangladesh is scheduled to get deployed by end 2013.
  • Implementation of ODS system on Maximo which allows Maximo user to have easy access on Maximo data using Cognos tools.

Project: Centralized Manufacturing Database and Operational Schedule

The solution provided monitoring and reporting facility for all their operational activities including blasting information from Quarry, Test results from Lab, Cement Mill Production, Physical Stock of cement and Raw materials in silo or outside piles, movement of raw materials related to production, Terminal related activities like loading / unloading, shipping activities like which ship will birth when and with how much quantity, Power Plant Management and other areas like safety. Necessary data from all these modules are interfaced to financial system on schedule basis. An operational scheduling tool was also delivered as part of the solution. The tool integrated data from Production, Sales, Silo stocks and ship movement details. The tool provided the platform for management to plan all the activities for next four months. The solution was designed using Lotus Notes, Lotus Script, Domino, Java script, HTML, Visio. Lotus script and VBA was used for updating actual data back to scheduling tool automatically. The solution successfully delivered and used as a centralized system for production resource monitoring and planning. It should be mentioned on personal level this project helped me to understand the business and production related processes of Cement production in Lafarge.

Other Projects/Responsibilities/Achievements:

  • Analyzed, designed and implemented Budgeting Tool Application using Lotus Script and VBScript integrating with Excel template. The tool provided flexibility for offline budget preparation and actual vs. budget performance analysis by integrating data from ERP.
  • Worked closely with Business and IT stakeholders to design 3 Year IS/IT plan for Lafarge Indonesia. Activities included detailed discussion for requirement gathering, prepare summary recommendation and get proper approval from country senior management and also from corporate IT management.
  • Provided technical support to Lafarge Asia Pacific (Regional) for implementing IT Governance Tools in Lafarge, which include enhancement of the Lotus Notes based Incident Management, Change management, Project management, Document management and Operation management modules. Also provided support to regional tam for Lotus Notes based application and administration.
  • Analyzed, Designed and implemented Survey tool for IT community using Lotus Notes.
  • Provided guideline for the existing PICK system ERP tool for enhancements and fine-tuning as required.

Project: Sales Automation and Customer Service for Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Ltd. (PBTL)

PBTL was the first mobile company in Bangladesh, used the solution to manage their customer service smoothly. This solution also incorporated technologies like integrated scanning feature for image handling. During this project, Jointly worked with IBM Bangladesh for system study, LN implementation & maintenance of various solutions using Lotus Notes, Lotus Scripts and Lotus Domino.

Project: LC Monitoring System for British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB)

The solution was built to keep track of every details of the LC process in the company. Jointly worked with IBM on scope analysis, design technical documents using Lotus Notes, Lotus Scripts and Lotus Domino.

Project: Consultant Tracking System for World Bank Bangladesh

Jointly worked with teams of IBM and World Back IT analyzed the user requirement, prepared specification documentation of various functions and finally led the development team to deliver the solution as per spec on time using Lotus Notes, Lotus Scripts and Lotus Domino.

Project: Helpdesk Automation database for British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB)

BATB deals with various vendors including IBM and this tool was designed to keep track of all the activities, incident, SLA, knowledge base with electronic approval cycle. Worked closely with BATB UK team on the requirement analysis and proposed technical solutions. Based on approved design, we implemented the system for BATB using Lotus Notes, Lotus Scripts and Lotus Domino.

  • Product Recommendation Database for British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB). A project for ideas on new products or services which leads to better product/services.
  • Lotus 123 Macro files converted to MS Excel Macro For British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB)
  • Implemented Filing System (document management solution) for British Oxygen Company (BOC) using Lotus Notes and Lotus Script. The solution also integrated direct FAX sending facility from Lotus Notes.
  • Audit Database for British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) – a tool to log and monitor all Audit related issues for corporate office, which was, implemented regionally within a year. Lotus Notes DB and Lotus Scripts were used in the solution.
